Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has signaled a renewed push to revitalize the Jubilee Party after officially opening the party’s Nyandarua County headquarters in Ol’Kalou.
Dr. Matiang’i, who has recently taken a more visible role in national politics, was accompanied by the party’s Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta, Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), and a host of leaders drawn from across the country.
The event, held in Ol’Kalou town, marked a significant moment for the Jubilee Party as it seeks to reassert its presence at the grassroots level following recent political shifts.
Addressing supporters, Matiang’i emphasized the party’s commitment to reconnecting with ordinary citizens and addressing pressing national concerns.
“Our’s is a deliberate effort to restore political sanity and rebuild trust with wananchi and shaping a people driven agenda that speaks directly to the challenges our people are facing today. We are taking the conversation back to the grassroots, where real issues live,” he said.
Party officials present echoed his sentiments, noting that the reopening and strengthening of county offices is part of a broader strategy to reorganize and energize the party’s support base ahead of future political contests.
Kenta underscored the importance of unity within the party, urging members to remain focused on issue-based politics that prioritizes development and accountability.
Leaders from various regions who attended the launch described the move as timely, saying it would help bridge the gap between leadership and citizens while offering a platform for inclusive dialogue.
The Ol’Kalou headquarters is expected to serve as a coordination center for party activities in Nyandarua County, as Jubilee positions itself to play a more active role in shaping the country’s political discourse.
