Fear has gripped the residents of Ririk Village in Bomet Town after a 45-year-old businesswoman was found brutally murdered in her rented house.

The victim’s body, bearing multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest, was discovered soaked in a pool of blood several hours after the attack.

According to witnesses, curious neighbors stumbled upon the gruesome scene on Tuesday evening after noticing that her house had remained closed for most of the day.

"Out of curiosity, a neighbor decided to check on her, only to find her lifeless body lying in a pool of blood," said a Nyumba Kumi member.

Confirming the incident, County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga stated that investigations are underway.

“We suspect this to be a murder, but we have yet to make any arrests. Our officers are on the ground gathering leads to bring those responsible to justice,” said Imbwaga.

He urged members of the public with any relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation.

The deceased, a mother of three and a well-known salonist in Bomet Town, was described by neighbors as a hardworking woman.
