The Bomet High Court has sentenced a 40-year-old man, Benard Kipkemoi Kirui, to 150 years in prison after he was found guilty of murdering his three sons.

Kirui was convicted of killing Amos Kipngetich (12), Vincent Kiprotich (8), and Emanuel Kipronoh (5) in 2019 while their mother was away.

Delivering the ruling, Hon. Justice Julius Kipkosgei Ngarngar stated that the sentence serves as a strong warning to anyone contemplating such heinous crimes. However, he noted that Kirui has 14 days to appeal the verdict.

Speaking on the ruling, Sharon Cherono, the convict’s wife, revealed that Kirui had chased her away before committing the gruesome act. She expressed relief, saying justice has finally been served.
